We were forced to create an amalgamated culture of everything it meant to be black as African American. One of our greatest creators of reinvention was the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. He gave us Islam not as a religion but as a culture and as a way for us the redefine who we were. From his teachings came The Nation of Gods and Earths . Ideologically separate but born of the same culture. I am a product of both and proudly thank the universe for these life giving teachings that have touched all people on the planet Earth.
